Online Digital Marketing Courses for IIDE

The Brief
When I had just joined IIDE in 2018, I was just given one brief, to convert all their offline courses into online courses. Courses like
1. Copywriting
2. Search Engine Optimisation
3. Google SEO.. etc
This was the most research-intensive project for me. Videos had to include large amounts of concepts while being stylish and engaging. The focus was on visually stunning ways to showcase the content for a more mature audience. I was particularly responsible for everything, starting from ideation to storyboarding, production and animation.
The Research
Online Training courses were a completely new domain for me. Starting with smaller things like finding a team, getting the equipment, light and the mic right, we went on to understanding our audience. There is a lot of training material on Digital Marketing available in the market, why would someone pick ours?

Every course we would start with competitive research, trying to see what is there in the market and what is missing. Understanding the courses available and how can we make a difference. Becoming students ourselves and trying to understand the material.
Ideation
After we understood the material, we would have interviews to find a trainer who was a Subject Matter Expert, getting them on board. Next was us clubbing our research to their experience and creating a course structure. Once the trainer was comfortable with the course structure and the script, we would go ahead with the production.
Creative direction
This is the stage where we would work on things like - set design, props, the design guidelines of the course. Each course will have its own colour palette and font design related to the type of the course it is. We would also create props required for the set on the shoot.
Production
In this stage was divided into creating scripts, and cinematography. Making sure the trainers reach on time and the shoots keep going according to the schedule. In this process we also needed to pre-plan the course structure in case we might need a screen recording or better explanation of a particular concept. Our team members would also go through to footage to understand if the trainer is clear and is able to articulate the words properly.
Post - Production
In this stage, our animators and editors will work side by side to produce content by editing, animating and exporting it into short video. Our content writers will on the side create the smaller content like - Chapter names, course names (According to the SEO Keywords) and assignments for the course.
